Cake Off 2020 Theme Announced:

Decades of Cake!

We’ve seen the classic Women’s Weekly cakes recreated, we’ve expanded geographically in cake from Canberra to Australia to the world – this year we take on a whole other dimension!

Cake Off 2020 theme will be ‘Decades of Cake’

to be held on Sunday May 17, 2pm at The Hyatt Hotel Canberra Ballroom.

How to get involved?

A baking spot with Cake Off has always been hotly contested and 2020 will be no different.

50 spots will be up for grabs and the Perinatal Wellbeing Centre (formerly PANDSI) Cake Crew will be inviting Canberrans to nominate their concept for 2020, their representation of a decade in cake from the 60s, 70s 80s, 90s and the 00s.

Perinatal Wellbeing Centre CEO, Yvonne Luxford, said “We can’t wait to see how bakers will capture the many iconic trends of five decades in cake. Will we see fashion, technology, music, headline moments? Let your imagination run wild!”

Nominations for a place open here at 10am – Tuesday March 17, 2020

Also start thinking about who will sponsor your cake and bid for it on the day. This helps raise much needed funds to enable the delivery of vital services to families who need Perinatal Wellbeing Centre’s advice and support.

The Cake Crew will provide feedback once all registrations have been received to ensure a robust representation of each of the five decades.
